Vision-2-Vision is a lighting controller company founded by Don Dill to
deliver the next generation of lighting control products to live performance and
entertainment venues. Don has been passionate about the lighting control industry since
he was a teen; he established and operated Vision Productions, a portable sound and lighting
business, for over twenty years. In 1979, engineered by his Dad, Don Dill Sr., and fabricated with his Dad and Mike Saenz, the first Vision control system was created.![]() The system allowed the operator to control lighting attributes such as color, brightness, movement, and chase sequences. The operator could synchronize lighting to a custom screen that displayed images of dancers or to light boards that displayed various shapes. Lighting could be manually controlled or one could set the system to run in random or audio sync mode. The master console was designed to interface to a second controller which was used to manage the operation of two light boards. For over twenty years, Don sought out to solve some of the most complex hardware, software and product design objectives. He designed and delivered hardware and software control solutions for the NASA space shuttle, space station research lab, as well as designing telecommunication switches and gateways in use today. Given his passion for lighting, Don has continually envisioned new lighting product designs and ways to transfer technology to develop next generation controllers that remove barriers and provide tools which revolutionize the industry. |
